Lucky for those WC spots... Looks like the two U17 finalists came from that route. Probably the best thing the league did was introduce those WC spots. One off's happen & sometime the best team in the district doesn't always get threw.

Consider this season a wash, hope for the best in coastal cup play & 'the road to Vernon' & put the energy & focus there. If that's not an option, get a spring program going, try to add to your current team & hope for better weather next season!

This year aside, the last 2 seasons, missed only 2 games. One was for a flooded turf field & last year was frost on the field for a 8.30 am sf cup gm.

I think this will be a one off year with the snow. But who really knows ...

4d has 2 weeks of reg league play left, the league doesn't do make up games. Teams outside of the league cup finals & coastal cup play are basically done. But most districts haven't even got to playdown's play yet outside of the 1st Rd.

The 4d standings have been a total wash this year, but the 5d updates weren't too bad. Weird how the regular season standings got wiped after the championship series got posted. All in all, the msl updates were atleast pretty thorough & updated regularly.

Fair enough. But we atleast want to keep it competitive & know what we're playing for while also keeping the development of the team / player as priority.

I've mentioned this before, go look at last years coastal cup u14 & 15 A cup. Both Van U teams (gold) faired really well. Santos went to the finals & lost in OT & Golazos lost in the semi finals. Not bad for gold teams competing against metro teams. I was kind of for this. Why deny more...

4d cancelled all weekends games. Maybe my initial restart quote of Jan 28 might be true. Though I think next Saturday will be the weekend with all the rain coming. Question is how many fields will be flooded?

You have to figure the next two weeks will be called off. I don't see no rain in the forecast & isn't it supposed to snow again on Friday? I'm projecting we will resume Jan 28 if we're lucky.

So looking at this weather & how it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon, does Feb look like a realistic start up?? Predictions that the 4d get the standings up before first kick off of 2017..? Haha
