Langley isn't part of Surrey Metro and doesn't play in their District Cup.

They are not part of SMSA, but they are part of the same League (District) which is District 5.

And I agree, Surrey teams a historically very tough. High level competition year around. There are some benefits to the USSL/USSA summer leagues, outside of the politics of course.

Langley Smith U17 lost their 1st game 5-0 . Surrey Dist is the toughest route to qualify by winning the Dist Cup as there are prob 7-8 strong Gold teams amongst the 5 Surrey Dist clubs. The Surrey Dist Cup is more competitive than the Coastal & Provincial Cup
Good for them if they are in an easy District same as Delta where the 2 Gold teams are very weak as well.

They play other Langley teams, Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission for their District Cup spot... like Delta teams play Tsawassen, Coastal, Ladner, etc.

All of those clubs you just mentioned play in Distrcit 5.

SMSA only has its own cup up to u12.

easoccer the USSL and summer tournaments are definitely a huge benefit for those players that want to play soccer all year round.
Surrey has so many turf fields and beautiful grass fields & the added bonus of great summer weather helps to make the summer program so popular .

A grand total of ONE team moved. Good job, 5 district.

5 DSL Thanksgiving Changes 2015

1. U12 Div 1 North and U12 Div 1 South flights were combined to make 3
smaller flights.

U12 Div 1 A - 8 teams.
U12 Div 1 B - 8 teams.
U12 Div 1 C - 8 teams.

2. Split U13 Div 2 into 2 flights of 8.
3. Split U16 Div 1 into 2 flights of 8.

Switched U13 Div 2 CFC White with CWK Attack Div 1
I see more changes - argh!!

Its great that these boys will finally start playing games after almost 8 weeks - players did nothing wrong to be sitting out for so long. This should have been sorted out in a timely manner. This U16 team were scheduled to play the 2nd placed U17 Div 2 team yesterday . They will find it alot more physical playing a year up

I agree the kids should be playing. Hopefully the team can direct their complaints to the coach and club about the missteps and maybe even get a bit of a refund.
