I understand TCYSA is agreed to join the 4-District league next year.

I guess the two leagues will need to change their names.

I understand that there are discussions around the possibility of 5-District and 4-District merging into one league. Possibly with BCCGSL as well.
Bowen Island to Chilliwack! :D Real away games!

Makes sense.

Also with Surrey and Delta creating a "super district" I don't see why they would be in 5 DSL either.

Makes more sense to combine Chilliwack-Aldergrove-Langley-Abbotsford-Mission-Maple Ridge to me. Surrey-Delta together in another district.

I would quit if they joined! ;)

That merger would make zero sense. It already makes absolutely no sense you have mid-tier girls driving over 2 hours for a game.

A BCCGSL source says there is no interest in merging with a boys league, just too many differences right now.

nor should there be. In fact, the districts should consider being smaller in geography starting larger at BCSPL (province-wide), the MSL (Lower Mainland-VI-Okanagan), Then Div 1/Gold (district wide) so on and so forth getting smaller the lower you go.

It makes sence to streamline the leagues. Too many with thier own rules and regualtions. about time BC Soccer streamlines for LTPD

BCSPL should ladder down to Div 2 - reducing the standards each level down, and regionalizing each level down. Done, sorted, streamlined. If they really want to tout #pathway....
