I heard that one of the Surrey clubs had a red card incident from a violent player back in September.
For some reason, there still has not been a hearing for the player/coach.
The referee's report has not been delivered to the district and so no hearing.

Is this what it has come to when players are physically punching the opposing team and then not getting penalized???

Should just be a 3 game suspension and no hearing........why would a hearing be necessary for a violent act?

Pretty silly about a ref being the bottleneck on the whole thing.

Wow. I know yellows often go unreported, as referees use them "to control the game"...but to not report a straight red card immediately is negligence, really.

And the hearing has to take place. Cannot impose penalty on a player based solely on the referee report. The player has the right to tell his side of the story. Could be the difference between 3 games and 8 games.

because sometimes it's a repeat offence and more than just "punching" and players get more than 3 games.

Bc soccer mandates all red card infractions require a disciplinary meeting regardless offence.

Last year one of my players had a handball (preventing a goal) against Rich team and could not play until after the meeting.

Also, I have known red cards to be withdrawn by club refs against their own club teams.

by saying this you are calling into question every ref at every club. i imagine they wouldn't take kindly to that.

Regardless I can tell you for a fact it has happened. Of course both teams we're in the same club. Report was never filed.

It's not an indication of anything. I'm sure it's common that these things are sometimes settled within the club. I'm not sure why you are trying to make it out to be more than it is. Especially when yellows are not reported all the time.

Not only that I havent reported a single thing, No names or clubs have been mentioned, and my comment was in response to the delayed red card in this thread.

Discipline is a big issue that clubs fail to deal with and many times try to cover up. easoccer i know what u mean and have come across stuff like that in Newton

I have a question. If 2 club teams are playing, or maybe even outside the club, does the head referee have the ability to moderate the referees under him? For example if there is a hot head ref, and he makes a huge mistake, can the record be altered or altogether withdrawn without recourse ? Within the rules.

Referees report is what the Discipline panels go by to set punishments but if a referee or club has failed to file a report then it should be investigated and club and referee should be punished heavily

I really don't know LFC.....heard though that referee's are not submitting their reports for some games and it's frustrating as liberties are taken by players and I am just not sure if they are getting the appropriate disciplinary actions taken against them?
Guess this is the issue we'll have to live with until there are greater controls in place.

These refs should be punished by lengthy suspensions
