I think we need to be patient about the fields on the schedule. It looks to me like there are only a limited amount of fields entered into the system so far and they most likey needed to use whats available to facilitate the schedule.
As for misplaced teams and unbalanced divisions we need to...
I see Bronze teams who were competitive against lower Silver in the past grouped with house teams who were at the bottom of their division. It's going to be a tough season for some.
It seems like many of the teams from last year are missing as well. Maybe its just that my son is getting older (u17) and the teams naturally drop off. Kind of sad :-(
Also, it's going to be a tough season for the house teams being pushed up to play the Bronze teams.
100% agree that volunteers should be respected and applauded. I coached for many years. As a person starting out there was no information. Everything I learned was from youtube and watching other people coach their teams. My point was not that "your child" should be fit into a mold, but that...
I was thinking about this yesterday. I was watching practice at Coastal. on one section they have u9 pds, and next to them they have u9 house (which is everything not pds).
Watching the pds team you can clearly see they have staff coaches, team coaches, and assistants. The practice is...
This is how we felt about Chilliwack at u13/14. Ha!!
Seriously though, I would have liked a little bit of travel at Div 2 as well. Break up the monotony a bit.
Why shouldn't NFP get cheaper rates? FP's purpose is to make money. Part of a cities agenda is leisure access, thus its important for them to encourage ALL people to get involved, not just the people who can afford to go to private academies, and to do this they need to discount field space...
Even with TAGS we mostly ignored game info other than opponent and whether it was home or away. This info always came to me from the club or opposing team. So far not sure if they plan to use gotsoccer for this or the old fashioned way. As Rich said, don't use the schedule for that info right now.
TKBC. I'm just relaying what I was told. Take it or leave it.
As for the semantics of the situation, and by your logic, the majority of things we say on here are rumors and personal opinion, which you have a lot of it seems. Which is fine. But it's a discussion board so if not to discuss...
Good things they are removed this year!

CMF is the kicker. This is a good quality club and its loss from D5 would have been very noticeable with 31 teams last year.
PCE 15 teams
PMO 14 teams
NCUS 5 Teams.
So 65 teams would have been gone from D5.
How much fun would it be...
Lol. Since when is anything written on this board put in writing from any league prior to being posted. Tri Cities was a huge part of d5. And if you follow the conversations on here you can follow the crumbs. But yes, I heard it from a person in the know and you can feel free to take is a rumor...
So, this merging wasn't because everyone wanted to be friends. It is out of necessity. Tri-Cities left D5. Without them D5 was left with an insufficient amount of teams. D5 had to merge. Right now D4 is in charge as per BC Soccer, so if anything, the lack of information, such as results and...
This much delay or lack of information doesn't make any sense. If the only difference this year was at the gold level, how can there not be a competent person with the ability to make a schedule on time? And if there was a delay, then why not only at that level? How does it affect everyone else...
It says they will use gotsoccer, but will there be schedules and standings online? I'm not coaching this year, but it would be nice to follow old friends and teams from the past.
I would think mostly coaches or managers would be interested and would have at least looked for prelim schedules. Parents usually just show up. If club staff get irritated they could send out a bulletin.
Even with the South Fraser district merger last year it's not really that interesting news...
