My question stands then - is 4 wins from 4, with 30 goals scored and 0 against not enough to merit a team moving up? Just how badly did they have to humiliate their opponents to be moved?
A grand total of ONE team moved. Good job, 5 district.
5 DSL Thanksgiving Changes 2015
1. U12 Div 1 North and U12 Div 1 South flights were combined to make 3
smaller flights.
U12 Div 1 A - 8 teams.
U12 Div 1 B - 8 teams.
U12 Div 1 C - 8 teams.
2. Split U13 Div 2 into 2 flights...
Very few changes - the two teams I listed earlier didn't get moved at all... How bad does a team have to destroy its opposition before thanksgiving to get moved up??
Yeah I notice they've wiped the first four weeks of the season as well... interesting. Hopefully there are lots more changes to come. As above, Ladner and Langley should move up and create two groups of D1 like in U16.
Let's hope there are some moves made ...
How much fun do you think this team is having :
4 games, 0 wins and 4 losses, 19 goals against and 0 goals for
And how much do you think this team is learning :
4 games, 4 wins and 0 losses, 30 goals for and 0 goals against
I stand corrected if it's George who does the tiering based on club suggestions... and I can't say as I disagree with your logic. I'm sure there are lots of examples of this kind of thing in the 'lower divisions'.
I think there are 2, maybe 3 teams in that division that are continually better than the rest, and the drop off after that seems pretty large from past history... I guess the lower divisions are always going to have these kinds of issues when tiering is left to the clubs?
U17B Langley D2 hasn't lost a league game in two years (since they dropped down to D2).
We dropped a tough 0-1 away, dominated posession and game for large stretches but couldn't score. Caught by a quick counter off a turnover and beat our 3rd choice keeper. Good way to start the season...
Wow why would MSL permits be different than regular? I see they can permit for League Cup too, whereas we cannot, forcing us to transfer if we want these players to be eligible for us after Christmas.
Yup, they're here in November and tickets go on sale Friday... funny thing, they're saying they want to make sure the roof is open. If they really really wanted weather to be a factor why didn't they put it in like Edmonton or something?
This coach wishes he had a couple more weeks with boys who only just got back from holidays, and a chance for some to recover from off-season injuries... :)
