Best Young Players in BC / Canada

It may be now, but it definitely wasn't when it first started.

Best Young Players in BC / Canada

The one issue I see with the Whitecaps Academy is that they pick kids out at 13 years old and expect them to train for at least two years before they get to play competitive games again... these are kids, they want to play. What league does the "pre-residency" team play in? Sure they can play...

SMSA looking for new district registrar.

Not surprised that she's moving on from district as well - she left her position as Surrey United youth registrar before last season. She will be missed for sure!

    BCSPL Franchise @ NAP - Pros/Cons ?

You do realise that these players can play for any BCSPL team - there are no boundaries... if they are truly keen to play at the highest level?

BC Soccer sanctioned USSL Summer Leage

Yeah it's not the summer soccer at all that I object to, it's great that they want to keep playing all year IMO. It's that a coach can pick up an entire summer team and drop them at any level they want without any evaluations?

BC Soccer sanctioned USSL Summer Leage

"Please review rosters of PL clubs to see the number of Indo-Canadians playing who came from the Newton Area." Because Indo-Canadians don't come from anywhere but Newton. *rolls eyes* How many SFC boys are playing for Whitecaps prospects?

    Player Transfers

I would assume "close of business" on the 15th as BC Soccer has to approve all transfers.

    Player Transfers

Also just FYI, being permitted up DOES NOT COUNT as "playing a league game prior to any cup game". Any player transferred has to play a league game with the team AFTER the transfer to be eligible for District/Coastal Cup play with his new team.

    BCSPL v Metro Soccer v DIV 1

Another thing which "muddies the water" as you say it, is the fact that BCPL plays a different schedule than any other league.

    CCB Suspension Crisis

Well, they'll probably be there for the season now and will probably win whichever league cup group they get put in - I wonder if they'll be seeded for District Cup with the 99's or the 2000's?

    Heading the Ball Restrictions

Complete rubbish. Teach them how to do it properly earlier, those who aren't comfortable with it won't do it in games anyway, and those who are should know how to do it correctly.

    CCB Suspension Crisis

D2 is two divisions down from Metro. We'll see how it works out!

Looks like they moved the CCB 2000 Metro team down to U17 D2 ... that will be interesting
