If it's already out there, someone might as well post the excel or pdf version of it. No time like the present. I am also wondering why it's not on the website. Probably some technical difficulties
I was under the impression that the top 2 non district cup winners highest in the standings would get the berths.
If the above is indeed accurate, that message needs to be sent to every district because I guarantee teams eliminated from district cup and or league cup finals will already think...
Do we have a list of players of who actually made a career playing soccer by graduating from the BC soccer system? Any bc kids get drafted to the mls?
Only players that ring a bell for me is Marcus Haber, Josh Simpson & the two Ben's.
But until we have our own domestic league all this hpl...
Does anybody know what the process with re-tiering goes? I'm under the assumption that say for ex there's a G1a & G2b & both groups have 10 teams, that teams 1-5 in both groups will form 1A & teams from 6-10 in both groups will form 1B? But who can really judge after 3 games?
Maybe realignment happens after 3 weeks? I mean they had to get something out for the short term even if it's not perfect. Can't have two weeks straight without games scheduled. But there's probably a reason why there's only 3 weeks scheduled.
Tri cities is part of the "west" bracket for silver & below so that's considered "regionalized"
This gold 1a & 1b is just that. No gold 2 just separate g1 groups. Why have a gold div of 20 teams when you can have 10 & 10?
Anyone want to make predictions how schedules & cup play will look?
If you combine both leagues, in some age groups there will be 30 + teams. Our we looking at groups of 6-8 ? Based on last years standings? Random selection?
I do hope the cup play is how the 5d did it with group play then top...
"Each District is responsible for the general operation and promotion of soccer within their respective geographic boundaries. All boys' youth teams will include SFDA, Richmond Soccer Association, Fraser Valley Youth Soccer Association and Alouette District Youth Soccer Association"
Coming mid august.
If anybody read the fine print in the 3DL page, Richmond is listed as one of the districts. Maybe there was a trade. Richmond for Tri Cities
You catch that USA Martinique game? Super entertaining. Sat threw the whole thing.
Canada is still a ways away. Don't have too much quality upfront. Though a couple more players come threw like Davies & there might be some hope.
I love how total base always reiterates the Burnaby TD having 2 positions. Does that mean he gets 2 separate pay cheques? I think I know who he's talking about though.
But TD's have easy jobs. They could make an upwards of 60k a year & do what really? I hardly see any coach development, player...
On the flip side, I can see 4d teams seeing the schedule in late August & see that for ex there team is playing away to Port Coquitlam & be like "what the heck is this, must be a mistake"
Let's hope the information gets properly communicated in a timely manner.
So TC joining the 4d is 100% happening? I'm just suprised there hasn't been more chatter about this like a press release or something. Maybe got to wait until August when the season gets closer.
Fair enough. But generally these teams don't do well anyways. Had there been better competition in there district, they probably wouldn't even make it out. A team is bottom half of the league playing against "strong" opposition all year in the league then are lucky with a weak district in...
^ so many Richmond teams & West Coast gold teams playdown with silver teams to qualify for coastal cup. Neither club takes advantage of that opportunity & rarely go on a deep run.
This potential merger has me intrigued. I personally don't see it happening for the reasons stated in the above post regarding geographic concerns, but on the other hand, I do believe 4d & 5d teams don't meet enough threw out the year outside of tournaments & CC play.
Although it would be cool...
