The Metro Soccer League is for boys and girls age 12 to 17. It is a competitive league including teams from all regions of the BC Lower Mainland.
The League will schedule games on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The regular schedule shall run from the first weekend after Labour Day through to approximately the end of February with a break between mid-December and mid-January.
The League publishes a complete schedule at the beginning of the season and all teams are expected to play all scheduled games. Schedules will be published by August 30th each year.
The Metro Select League was the amalgamation of the Girls Metro League and the Boys Select League in 2011 to form a second tier of soccer for the Lower Mainland. The first tier for youth soccer is the BCHPL.
The aim is to have stronger competitive teams for players that are not ready or not wanting to commit to the BCHPL, but want to strive to improve their development in a competitive environment.
The amalgamation was formed under the boys Rules and Regulation with balance schedules, trophy and medals for all Champions, League scheduling of Referee and Discipline to run the second tier program at U13 to U18
