.BC Coastal Girls League Updates
(Formerly 5 District Girls)

Due to web pages being updated daily,  hold the CTRL key down and click the Refresh/Reload button on your browser tool bar to make sure you have the latest version of the web page.
Information regarding Standings and communication
a) Scores are published once per week. Usually on Sunday or Monday night
b) Initial scores or corrections to scores will not be published until the next weekend.
c) Stats collectors will accept emails or phone calls that come from Coaches or Managers of teams only. If you are not a Coach or Manager and have a question or notice an error please discuss with your Coach. There are 660 teams with an average of 16 players per team and one or more parents per player making a total of 26,000 persons who could possible have a question to ask. We are all volunteers and give an inordinate amount of time to administering the League competitions. So we ask that you help us by using the communication paths that have been established.
d) The Web Master of this site is NOT involved with the league so please do not address questions related to League information that has been posted here. 

Notice to teams reporting scores:
a) Scores are to be reported by Coach or manager on the same day games are played.
b) If for any reason your game is not played, ie: field closures, remember to let your stats collector know.

"As per BCCGSL Rule 3.4.1 paragraph 5 all games that were not made up by the end of the league reporting period of March 28 have been recorded as 0:0 ties."

"Congratulations to all the league winners. Arrangements will be made to distribute the medals to all teams by the end of this week. I wish to thank all those teams that were prompt in getting their score in and that is most of you. And I wish to thank all the individual score takers whose assistance has been immeasurable this season."

If a team has a field to play on then the game must be played this weekend. The grass/graaa, gravel/gravel rule is in effect for the round robin cup games. Any cup game not played on Jan 18 will automatically move to the Jan 25 date and supercede the league game on that day. Only after we know how many cup games get played on Jan 18 will we make a decision on the disposition of the League games for Jan 25. We may delete the league games entirely."

"Where two teams may normally play their league games on different days (i.e. one team usually plays Saturday and their opponent usually plays Sunday), it shall be the home team's prerogative to determine which day their home game is played. In all other cases teams will play on the same day as league play, particularly when the fixture involves a game between Vancouver Island and a Metro Vancouver team."
