  5 District Cup Format and Rules - 2009 - 2010

 

5 District League Bronze and Red Conference Cup 2010

  • Each 4 team group will play a double round robin format.
  • 6, 7, or 8 team groups will play a single round robin format.
  • Forfeits will be decided by the league board.
  • Straight to shoot-outs if tied at end of regulation time.
  • Medals will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place teams at the final game.
  • All cup games must be played before March 1, 2010.

Points:

     3 points for regulation time win

     2 points for a shoot-out win

     1 point for a shoot-out loss

     0 points for regulation time loss

Tie-Breaker:

      1. Records against each other in round robin play.

      2. Least goals against from round robin play.

      3. Overall goal difference from round robin play.

      4. Choice of 5 District League Board.

To Determine Champions:

Points are tallied from round robin play.  The two teams with the most points in each group play in the Cup Finals. The final is played at the home field of the team that finished first in the group.  The winner of the final game is declared the champion.

Cup Finals are at home field of 1st place team on or before March 6, 2010.  The final could be played on other dates but a request for a change must be approved by the League Board.

PLEASE NOTE:  Some teams are playing in District “B” Cup in late February. These Cup games take precedent over League Cup games.
